Economy as doubtful and unmistakable scienceprof. dr hab. Kazimierz Kuciński
The misfortune of modern economy is that one expects too much from it, and likewise these science is expecting too much from itself, what leads to the formulation of two extreme theses. According to the first economy is not a science because its findings are not universal, and the other says that economy is everything. The author considers both approaches to be wrong, and tries to prove it. Critically evaluating the conceptual confusion which reigns in the discussion of economy as a science, and in understanding its role, the author makes some desiderata which an economist should follow.
