Banks preparation for a crisis

During the last years the science achieved enormous progress in building the models of early warning. In 2007 the author, in collaboration with the Warsaw Institute of Banking, carried out the study on the “Requirements of elasticity and capacity to manage the changes in an enterprise”, contained within a framework of the KNoP SGH statutory research program. The aim of the investigation conducted in 36 banks was to elaborate some prognosis about the possible menaces, to define the level of preparation for a crisis and the marketing instruments preferred in the sanative conditions. The investigation results and its analysis are presented in the article.
